Responsible for representing a multitude of clients, including multi-national corporations, small businesses, health care providers and individuals in employment and family immigration matters. Responsible for providing legal counsel on immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions, petitions for extensions of stay and change of status, adjustment of status and naturalization procedures. Responsible for assisting clients in employer compliance, I-9 matters, and Department of Labor Audits, establishing comprehensive immigration plans, and preparing corporate immigration policies and procedures.
Responsible for representing large and small businesses with general business and regulatory matters including business formations and dissolutions, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, human resource matters, litigation, multi-state licensing, securities, import/export compliance matters and loan documentation. Responsible for providing legal counsel on immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions, petitions for extensions of stay and change of status, adjustment of status and naturalization procedures. Assist clients in employer compliance, I-9 matters, and Department of Labor Audits, establishing a comprehensive immigration plan, and preparing immigration policies.
Responsible for researching and preparing internal memoranda and other legal documents regarding various legal issues pertaining to mergers and acquisitions, banking, debt collection, employee benefits, tax and human resources. Attended business lunches with potential clients, professionals, and experts, and communicated continuously with clients. Regularly participated in Professional Staff, Corporate and Financial Services, Banking and Litigation Group meetings.
Responsible for researching various legal issues pertaining to the Department and preparing internal memoranda and other legal documents on these topics, as well as drafting interpretive letters and Cease and Desist Orders to regulated entities on governing statutes.
Responsible for obtaining, organizing, and summarizing discovery for general litigation files; drafting correspondence and internal memos outlining discovery responses. Responsible for various daily court filings, researching legal issues, as well as drafting pleadings and briefs.
